David brings over 16 years of specialist insurance experience, including time in the London insurance market before joining Bsure in 2009. He leads the company’s strategic and day-to-day development. With deep expertise in Spanish private health insurance, David supports internationals and expats in navigating plan selection, including complex cases such as pre-existing conditions and visa-compliant coverage. He leads the health team with a client-first approach, ensuring clear, personalised guidance from the first quote through to ongoing support.
Maria Peñas - Health Insurance Specialist
Maria has an academic background in Environmental Science and extensive experience working with expat residency processes. Through her expertise, she helps ensure the necessary requirements are met to qualify for health insurance, guiding clients clearly and confidently through complex regulatory frameworks.
Philip Bloomfield - Founder
Philip Bloomfield founded Bsure Insurance in 1989, establishing the business with a strong focus on integrity, personal service, and client-first values. Through his leadership, Bsure built a loyal client base and a reputation for dependable, relationship-driven service.
Philip is now fully retired from the business. His legacy continues through the values and principles that remain at the heart of Bsure Insurance today.

Araceli brings experience from multiple sectors and has been with Bsure since 2014, playing a vital role in the company’s growth and development. Her day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing administration and supporting clients through the claims process. While many clients know Araceli as their go-to contact for claims, she also plays a key role in a wide range of back-office and administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly.
Nadia Martins Alexandre - Account Manager
Nadia brings a wealth of experience from the marketing and sales industry, combined with a strong background in customer service.
